I am moving forward with my plans for a drop down 52" LCD with Blue Ray in the front and 42" Plasma in the back, but still working out minor problems with installing the automatic adjuster which allows the roof mounted Direct TV Satellite to maintain its orientation when I turn. I have not made much progress in developing a solution for the satellite drag effect.
If you are talking about jacking directly into the nav display, it takes relatively expensive 3rd party hardware. There are a couple of products mentioned in this thread: http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...-prestigious-society-navi-hack-installed.html
It's a nice car but I don't plan to live there. Just for the kids for a long drive, 1+ hr, and it will make my life easier without "are we there yet?" These days I only live and sleep here
I thought Toyota made a headrest dvd system. You might want to see if one of those is available for the Prius. or maybe you want one of these: http://www.kvh.com/Products/Product.asp?id=125
Thanks for the idea. But I like to make the car looks as stock as possible. With that said, I prefer to have no screen in the head rest and park the car anywhere we want. With the screen, we need to be VERY careful to choose where to park.
