Thinking it might be a good idea to retrofit the Canadian battery heater (and the block heater, of course) to my (US-spec 2016) Prius, as I've noticed over the years that regen is quite poor in cold weather (charging a Li-ion pack that's below freezing is a bad idea due to lithium plating, so it's quite understandable), and figure I could get an efficiency improvement from getting the pack preheated. Unfortunately, I can't find much info on it beyond its existence, the part number for the power supply (but it doesn't seem any parts sites have that), and the fact that the block heater can be plugged into its harness in some installations (which, sure, might as well put that in too if I'm figuring out how to plug in my (non-plug-in) Prius anyway). And most of the info I've been able to find about it is here: Wondering what is it | PriusChat and here: New Prius (2017) enhanced with a hybrid battery heater? | PriusChat Anyone got documentation on it? Part numbers beyond G93C1-47010? Thanks!
It's something that on Canadian-spec ZVW51 cars appears to have been installed at port partway through model year 2017. The heater itself may be installed inside of the battery, but presumably not from the factory given the fact that the information about it in the manual is in label form and a tag added to the keychain.
