Hi all, I have searched high and low and cannot find anyone posting about these. Just wondering if anyone has tried them. I live in Vermont and with the salt on the roads 5-6 months out of the year, my rocker panels are shot. Just trying to get another 1-2 years out of my 2008 Prius. https://www.millsupply.com/auto-body-rust-repair-panels/toyota/prius/2004-2009/04-09-toyota-prius-slip-on-rocker-panel-4-door-3820342er.php
They appear to be a cosmetic appliqué. Not sure I'd even bother if you're only trying to get a year or two.
It would depend on how much rust you have. I know people who have the rocker panels acid washed then sprayed with rhino liner or even flex seal to coat them from the elements.
Yes, exactly. Ive been told by some it is fine as it’s not structural, but then others have said they won’t pass it. Wanted to cover it up just for another year or two. Then hopefully get a newer one. Love this Gen 2 though, it’s been such a great car.
