Anyone try upgrading the USB ports for fast charging?

I'm reading up about the USB ports and how they aren't capable of fast charging. Just standard 5v 3a.

It seems fairly easy to upgrade if you have a part that fits or can manufacture your own.



I know USB-PD chargers that go in the cigarette lighter exist, but I don't want to clutter up the console area with a bulky third-party charger.

 

I was looking online for parts and thought to search top brands to take their car-rated components.
