A good question! The apps themselves are great, but Toyota's technology does not allow phone screen mirroring onto the head unit, so they're not very useful apps in the Prius. We all wait with bated breath for some technical Wizard to come up with a simple and cheap way to get around this. In USA, the is a company that makes a workaround system, but it costs about $1,000. That's outa my league!!

No shots but is it needed? My phone is an s8+. Big screen. I can spend 10 bucks for a mount in Amazon and have all of that on my phone. Android auto really makes you not need the infodash. Outside of the size that is. Plus on my highlander my text show on the screen. SM-G955U ?
I use Android auto with cheap magnetic mount on my LG G6. I use Google maps, podcast republic, and audible. It works as well as you can hope. There's sometimes a traffic backup at my freeway exit. I like how Google maps routes me around it as needed.
That's right, because the whole point of Android Auto is to mirror your phone screen onto the car's screen such that you can operate your phone in you pocket through the car's touch screen. Like @pilotgrrl says, Beat-Sonic sell an expensive kit to accomplish that in a Prius, but a large phone screen mounted within view and reach would be almost as good - if not better.
