Anyway aftermarket HID can cause electrical issue?

    Can anyone think of a way aftermarket HID system can cause electrical issue on Prius? I wanted to see if anyone has experienced any kind of electrical issue on your Prius.

    I haven't had any issues. $40 HID kit from eBay. The driver's side ballast is zip-tied to the engine computer under the hood, next to the fuse box.

    Let me point out though, with the cheap HID kit, one ballast failed within several months. Its replacement and the rest of the parts are running fine. Also the cheap kit doesn't come with plugs that fit your car's halogen bulb plugs.
