While some other companies like Tesla have also developed software-centric cars, Toyota, being conservative as it is, has the goal of eventually being the best in the world in this aspect. Arene will also debut TSS 4.0, which is the first TSS to receive over-the-air updates (OTAs) during the life of the car. It is possible NVDIA hardware might be used. The PHEV models will have a 50-mile BEV range, with some also supporting DC fast charging using a CCS1 port. The on-board Level 2 charger will be 11 kW. It looks like it will use the existing internal combustion engine. The HEV models will use the Gen 5 hybrid synergy drive while the PHEV models use the new Gen 6 hybrid synergy drive. They will all feature the modern boxy styling, as opposed to the current blob styling flooding the market but going out of fashion fast.
