My dealer just called to tell me that the 2010 Level V w/ ATP will not be available until mid to late August. How can that be when I read in one of the surveys that there were (47) owners of a level V w/ ATP? Are they or are they not being shipped to dealers yet?
Without knowing more about the context of the statement, I don't know what the dealer is trying to say. Yes, Prius V with ATP have been built and are being delivered. The dealer may just be referring to its (or the region's) allocations. It's likely that all the V's with ATP at the dealer or coming in are already taken and the next shipment with not arrive for a few weeks. But Toyota has not built many V's with ATP even though they are pretty popular and have long waiting lists in most places, so you might not get one for months at the dealer, especially if you have a particular exterior/interior color choice. If you are flexible and want to shop around (and are willing to travel) you may find one somewhere.
I believe Rochester is in the chicago region. And it is somewhat true. Technically, they aren't building AT packages in our region yet. However, they are getting some but are being sent to dealers that have market rep cars coming to them (extra cars that don't show up on allocation)
I brought my 2010 Prius V w/AT package in May of 2009 in Southern California. Maybe just in your area, they will not be available unitl mid/late August.
I got my P5 with ATP on July 24th, I am in GST Region, Texas... Ggood got one also out of Texas about three months ago. He had a priorty order due to hes involment with Toyota and etc. I think mine was the first Non-Priorty order. Swich2Mac picked up his P5 with ATP on July 24th also, from a dealer in Memphis
