Audio freezes

    Sometimes my Prius freezes when playing mp3 files from a jump drive via the usb port. The stereo then shuts down, cycles on, freezes again, etc. until jump drive is removed. It only happens on certain song files (and on various jump drives). If the offending file is deleted from the jump drive, the stereo plays the rest fine once again. Any idea what's happening? Thanks.

    Sounds like a corrupted file. They used to cause problems on my smartphone too.

    That's what I thought too, but same files play fine on other devices.

    Maybe the radio is not as tolerant to out of spec files than other devices.
