The frozen gray is a matte/satin finish that's popular among the exotic/high-end crowd. Lamborghini started offering these colors a few years ago and Mercedes has these colors as an option as well, although I'm thinking it's not available in the US. A lot of people have wrapped their cars in vinyl with the same type of finish. I'm guessing that this clause is included as a legal loophole to get out of any type of warranty coverage for the paint finish.
