They are confusing worst selling with lowest number of sales. If they intended to sell 10,000 cars and only sold 1,500 that's poor selling. If they only intended to sell 1,000 cars and sold 1,500 that is cause for celebration.
Yeah, but it's a GT-R! Most of the other cars just suck - e.g. ugly huge-assed, gas-sucking, slow crossover SUVs.
The contract wording might of had Mazda taking rebadged Escapes through the generation's run. With the new Escape coming soon, Mazda will likely drop it now that they have their own SUVs on the market.
