With winter just around the corner, this forum has been full of discussions about snow tires and tire chains. I just read about another option called AutoSock that fits on the tire kind of like a shower cap: Front page - Autosock They aren't approved for use every where (in Washington, they can be used as a "winter traction device" on passenger cars but not on commercial vehicles). Personally, I'd rather rely on tire chains as I think they'd work a whole lot better, but for some of you, AutoSocks might be an option.
