It always bugged me that the marker area on the led side mirror covers was a little too big for my taste. as I really like the slick look of the Audi ones... So I ordered a gloss black vinyl sample off of ebay and tried it on. Looks a lot sleeker and gets rid of those annoying 8 bluish LED dots that are visible when the puddle lights are on...now you just get the straight down light. Very OEM looking! Vinyl also available in CF and white.
Nope...actually everything under the second led bar is just clear acrylic (with the exception of the 8 led puddle lights which still shine a plenty...just straight down now. No alteration at all in viewing from side or back.
