Wife came home from farmers market, "honey, someone hit your car" I'm like "Wth!!!!" No note! Nothing left behind! Hit and run that left some red paint on my rear bumper and huge dent.
It sucks for sure. I had someone back into my bumper in my apartment complex. The rear of my car is the best looking part and now it's been blemished. Grrrr
Of course no note. It's only a Prius. It isn't as if we're people. Wouldn't surprise me if they did it on purpose. Yes, this is a very cynical thing to say, but I have had more dirty looks while driving in the six months since I bought this car than in the rest of my entire life combined. And other drivers behave as though there's some obscure passage in the rules of the road that says no hybrid will ever have the right of way in any situation. I'm an aggressive driver, too! It's like they're determined to ignore me, and when I make it clear that it's my right of way and I'm bloody well taking it, then out come the sneers and fingers. And then generally embarrassment as I draw close enough for them to see my military stickers. Just pathetic.
Welcome to our highly politicized nation where everyone has to align themselves with a Rush Limbaugh or Michael Moore figure of worship. Our need to belong to a specific group while shunning anyone outside that group really bugs me.
Why do all my door dings and dents have red residue left behind... The pattern is clear... people that drive red cars are incompetent and evil....
Cheer up! The wife is ok, right? Could be worse! We have a guy at work and 6 months ago his Gen III had a BIG dent in the right rear bumper. Brand new. +1 Pathetic . . . sad . . . but true. .
When I am in san diego, I take the carpool lanes, and speed past them going 90. Then the look on their face turns surprised. You gotta try it sometime, people think this car can't go over 65!
Thanks, I will! I'm moving back there in about a month. They will come to respect and fear my Power Mode. Bwahaha!
someone sideswiped me getting blue paint on my red. I found that I was able to clean off the blue paint with a dish sponge with the rough side. Couldn't get out the dents, but at least no blue paint to mar the surface!
