backing up navigation DVD

    is it possible to backup the navigation DVD onto dual layer DVD-R? and still be functional in the navigation ECU?

    I've read posts where people backed up the DVD, I don't know if it was -R. Someone even made a hybrid DVD with the old software and current map/location data. The Search page is your friend.
