There are so many paragraphs from that article I'd love to quote and comment on: all in a good light. Perhaps I'm slanted and perhaps the article is too but I thought that was a great article. I love that they upped the standard from 50% to 100% while reducing the deadline one year. And then the team beat that deadline by two months. Also, I had no idea there were so many more hybrid models availble in Japan. I can only hope that, like the Prius, they are being 'tested' over there and will then hit the market over here with a bang.
nice post. all good interesting information. I don't care about the whining at the end though. Come off it already... wah.. wah.. wah.. bigger tundra.. etc.. etc. it boils down to this. U.S. car makers making the big trucks or toyota making them. With toyota the emissions will probably be lower, the mpg will probabyl be higher (pluse HSD in the future?) and it's more reliable. So why bash toyota for entering the large truck category.. oh.. right... because no one takes in account that contractors need large trucks... right... but the rest is cool. i'm just tired of the super idiot enviromentalist complaining. think a little bit people.. please..
