This will be a list of the best threads on PriusChat. I suppose it will end up being a sort of FAQ or Wiki. Anyone can nominate a thread. May be factual, serious, or funny. To keep the list compact, I will start another thread where we can discuss the nominations, if we want to out side the thread, or to discuss this thread it self. So just list the thread here, with a brief description. Here's the thread: http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=4...mp;#entry544831 My first nomination: Best tire discussion: http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=21271&st=0
This is a great idea, Doc. Here's my first submission. It's a thread I started back when Priuschat was getting hit more frequently by spammers, trolls, and flamers. It's entitled "How to Tell a Troll." http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=26600
galaxee's "TPMS Summary Thread" about the Tire Pressure Monitoring System: http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=26995&st=0
Great idea! Two of my submittals: The LONG grill blocking thread: http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=27547 Hobbit's recreation of Daniel's recreation of the 5 stages writeup: http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=26300 More likely to come when I take time to find them.
i know for a fact this is DH's favorite- the gas tank teardown thread: http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=31545&hl=
I said definitely galaxee's "what service you need and what you don't" thread, http://priuschat.com/What-services-you-nee...39t-t29898.html
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(ScottY @ Nov 27 2007, 04:48 PM) </div> This posting mentions drum brakes . . . I have an 08 and it has disc brakes all the way around . . . Todd
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(ToddWess @ Nov 27 2007, 06:56 PM) </div> Are you sure? Toyota's 2008 United States website still says disc brakes in the front, drum brakes in the rear.
I'd like to mention some FHOP threads the "next poster" game http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=2...iew=getlastpost Google Maps Scavenger Hunt http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=3...iew=getlastpost Word http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=2...iew=getlastpost Two Words http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=2...iew=getlastpost Only Three Words http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=2...iew=getlastpost -Orion
Maybe the longest serious thread, over 1000 posts and counting: The BT Tech Stiffeniing Plate thread: http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=29231&st=0
There are many great threads out there, but I've got to agree with Jim's first two suggestions: <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(JimboK @ Nov 27 2007, 03:51 PM) </div> I like these two threads because they provide so much information and valuable discussion PLUS they address modifications and issues that ANY Prius owner can do tomorrow. By reading these threads and acting on them, you are guaranteed to enjoy your Prius so much more and end up improving your MPGs nearly overnight. The "LONG grill blocking thread" is quite long. This prompted me to develop a "summary" of the thread in a posting within another thread. Efusco picked it up and used it to start another thread. So, for those looking for a way to navigate the great thread "My First Morning with a Blocked Grill" -- please click this link.
The best oil thread (there may be others): http://priuschat.com/WHATS-THE-BEST-OIL-0W...OOD-t23000.html
The Prius limo thread: almost everyone (including me) was convinced this was a Photoshop job: http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=3...p;hl=prius+limo

I had refrained, out of modesty, from posting this one, but someone on the BOPC discussion thread has nominated and seconded the Treknobabble thread: http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=3...&hl=shuttle
not a post, but the FAQ on how to get better mileage. i like it because when Priuschat started there was no real idea on how to do it. there was a group of us that inputed ideas, experiences and results. those ideas where implemented by us, results re-reported back, analysis made, further adjustments, more input, and finally a pretty comprehensive report on what lowers the mileage, what raises the mileage and the techniques required to get er done. if you have been here long enough and you remember the evolution of the FAQ you will know the feeling that came about when the FAQ was "finalized" (it will always be open to new ideas) but this was a result of several dozen posts...so pick one since they all contributed to the final product
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(DaveinOlyWA @ Nov 29 2007, 12:54 PM) </div> Do you have a link to a repository of FAQ?
