There was a thread about this a while back. While there were differing opinions, mine is that the weight of the battery and motor makes this thing too heavy to be enjoyable as a bicycle, while having a very limited range as an electric bike. And once the battery is depleted, it's just a bike with a lot of added dead weight. I think you'd be much better off with a good, fairly light-weight 18-speed touring bike.
