Hi guys, Can anyone advise me what could cause a module to die on me and if there's anyway to revive the module? I've been balancing and cycling my pack and in the process have had 2 modules that seemed to be working and then failed as well as the module that i know was dead from the car ecu and voltage tests. The 2 modules in question had a discharge and charge pattern as follows : 5963 8160 6700 1802 1903 3248 3755 7200 5748 7200 1702 4770 3640 6158 4405 7053 3577 7200 6102 1500 1046 3712 3493 I figured i may have blown the first battery by allowing it to charge to 8160 but i can't see why the second module gave up on me... Can anyone explain what's happening here and if there's any options to repair the module? Cheers Daniel
Can you provide details about your charger settings? It looks to me that it's more likely your charge cycle is stopping too early as if it's getting a false peak detection. The discharge cycle (capacity) number is going to depend greatly on how much energy is put into the module during the charge cycle. If the charge cycle is terminated early then the discharge cycle is going to appear weak. You may also want to look at the rest time between cycles and how they're being cooled while cycling.
Thanks for responding. I'm using a skyrc q200. The charge is 5A up to 7200mah. I believe it's using the delta voltage to cut off at 4mv per cell. The discharge is 0.7a down to 6v. They're getting a good rest between cycles as I'm not using the automatic cycle program as this was hitting 7200mah on some modules and stopping prematurely. Additionally there's a re-peak programme that accepts a number of charges but the manual doesn't really explain what this does that the regular charge cycle doesn't ..? Do you think i should attempt increasing the delta peak cut off to 5mv per cell? Or maybe once they charge, let them rest and attempt another charge cycle? Cheers Dan
It's been a couple of months - did you have any success with the SkyRC Q200? For reconditioning modules individually, the Q200 seems to be one of the better choices? Q200 充电器
