How can I prevent/disable the audio system from automatically launching my android music player app every time I start my car? I am using a Samsung Gallaxy S6 and android music player app(s). However, every time I start my car, the audio system automatically opens the smartphone player app and queues it to pick up where it left off, even when I have previously closed the music player app.
When you find out - let me know - I've got the opposite. I can't get mind to do so. Though, it's an S2 Samsung, maybe it's too old like someone told me (though it's much younger than me).
Not sure there is a way. I think this has been discussed in the past 6 months; have you done any searching ? Have you tried turning the audio system OFF before shutting the car down ?
There are a couple other threads on here about this. If you don't want it to fire up the Bluetooth audio, you just need to make sure the radio is "off" or have the audio systems source set to FM before shutting the car off.
Yeah, this is the automatic Bluetooth player feature. It works fine for me to play the audiobook. The car just knows where to pick up from the last book I was listening. Turning app off on your phone will not prevent it from playing it. It remembers what device was connected and what was playing last. To prevent the autoplay, as stated above, all you have to do is to either turn off the Audio or change source from Bluetooth to something else before you shut down the car.
Yes - to no avail. I think the audio system was deliberately designed to automatically re-establish the Bluetooth interface where it left off. In any case, I am using dubit's work-around: Change the source to FM Radio before turning off the car.
