I've reviewed the Toyota web site for the cell phones that are compatable with the Prius bluetooth system. There seem to be relatively few phones listed. Surprisingly, the iPhone with Verizon Wireless is not listed. Is it possible that the Verizon iPhone and so many others are not compatable?
My Verizon iphone works perfectly. Actually, I got the phone first and my husband bought me the car as an "iphone holder."
I think the list of compatible phones are ones that they've tested and verified as compatible... not to imply that phones that aren't on the list aren't necessarily incompatible, just that they haven't been tested and verified. Given that bluetooth is a standard it's more likely than not that any phone that supports bluetooth will work with the car, at least for calls... transferring phone book entries and other more advanced features sometimes gets a bit tricky, but even that usually works.
