i know there weren't any backup cameras for the pre2006 models, but were there bluetooth with the pre-2006 models? how is the bluetooth phone quality on the factory bluettooth unit? my contemplation is, getting a prius without the factory bluetooth or not and possibly installing an aftermarket bluetooth/nav double din unit or not... i don't know which call quality would be better? i think with the aftermarket bluetooth head units, you can still hear the people through the speakers as the factory one does right? thanks in advance!
Hello there, Fty. build in bluetooth did exist before 2006. My 2005 got that and Nav. system. For the sound qty., not bad, sound comes from front right driver side speaker. Able to adjust the volume. Automatic mute the audio when you make/receive call. Resumed after hang off. Aftermarket GPS with bluetooth also works good but not as loud as the Fty. build in. However you will get used to the aftermarket one if you 'install' it.
