When I attach to Bluetooth (2013 Prius V) on my Galaxy 4, the music sounds great...BUT.....i can not get the albums or songs to list. It just plays the first album over and over. Have I missed a step?
It should skip to the next album/folder if you use the arrow buttons on the steering wheel. That's about all you can do from the car. Use the Music Player app that Samsung provides on the phone and you have full control over what's playing, plus artwork and tags. The car is just acting like a Bluetooth speaker.
U have to get Samsung engineers to implement AVRCP 1.4 browsing! http://developer.bluetooth.org/TechnologyOverview/Documents/AVRCP_SPEC.pdf U maybe able to play music by connecting it via USB. Did you try it?
I can't speak to the Samsung Galaxy S4 but my S3 displays its album and song lists on the screen of our v/ATP. As Zephyr7 said, AVRCP is required for fuller information display. Someone on another forum told me that he hacked his S3 to add AVRCP software but I'm not brave or interested enough to try doing it on my phone.
yes you have to root your android and build BT software to support that. I also read someone has done it to enable full MAP support to get both email and SMS and be able to reply.
