Body Panels

    Can anyone tell me what body panels on a Gen III Prius are aluminium? I thought I read the rear hatch and the hood were, while the rest of the car is steel.

    sounds correct. yes, it's the hood and trunk at a minium.:)

    Walking round the car and testing with a small magnet will soon tell. Aluminium not being magnetic.

    Just for future reference, I checked my car with a magnet, it appears the hood and tailgate are the only aluminum panels.
