someone backed into rear corner of my baby.caved in part of bumper.there insurance is going to fix it and let me use a prius c rental.hope they put a whole new bumper on it and not try to patch it
It depends on the insurance company and the extent of the damage. In most cases, it's less money to replace the entire bumper skin and paint it rather than spend time and labor on trying to repair the damaged one.
My insurance Co. (AAA) had the rear bumper guard repaired, rather than replaced after a similar incident. It bothered me at the time, but I can't tell the difference today.
