I replaced the brake booster on my Toyota Prius, but I'm still getting issue.

The trouble code I'm seeing is C1252. It temporarily goes away when I lightly tap the brake booster pump, but comes back after a few days.

Do I need to replace the booster pump itself?
If so, I heard it's possible to repair this part—is that true?

Have a replacement on standby . After you bust the one you got up and find out you can't do squat with it You need something to put back on the car. Toyota recommends replacing both of these pieces at the same time just for this problem now you do the labor twice so they get you with the part or they get you with the labor twice.
