Did a couple road trips during the holiday weekend to Charlottesville VA and Dale City VA - ended up with my best mpg's so far - 58.2 (calculated)! On the way down to Charlottesville, I started off with two bars left on the fuel gage. My goal had been to make it to Charlottesville for $3.25 a gallon gas. About little more than half way there, I went to 1 bar. It was at that point as we passed some gas stations at about $3.50 a gallon that the fiancé mentioned that I should stop for gas. My comment to him was that we had plenty of gas to get there. His comment back was, "You have to be f***king kidding me!". The constant twitch of his head looking at the fuel gage after it started blinking made me stop for gas at $3.44 a gallon. Things we do to keep peace in the family.
BTW, I got about 58 calculated as my best mpg too during my trial. I tried to get to 60 but only could do it indicated once & just gave up.
