i have a 2005 with 177,000 miles. The brake, (!), ABS, and traction lights are on. When I hold down the brake pedal it makes a noise every few seconds. I jumped the pins and got blinking lights. (!), ABS and VSC all blink at Different times. If I just go with the ABS light i got 3142 that is C142 right? The VSC light blinks 3454. The (!) light blinks everything 36414257789. No idea how to read it. Can a normal brake shop read it or do I have to get to the dealer?thank you,
Some people have had success going to a brake shop and it’s free so why not. Sounds like you might need a new break actuator. Can you work on your own car? Has the traction battery been replaced yet? How much oil does the car burn between oil changes? What is the overall condition of the car?
Nope. The blink codes are two digit numbers, so might be 31 and 42, if you counted correctly. As above, so might be 34 and 54. That is an odd number of digits so one digit is missing, so no telling at this stage what they are. We could only guess at what they might be. If you can be bothered to try again and confirm what the blink codes for each light are, we can give you better guidance. Easier still, getting the codes read with a scanner that can give you the full codes in A9999 format, plus being able to look into the freeze frame data (where applicable) for the INF (or Sub or Detail) codes would be even better. It really depends on the equipment they have. If they have a compatible scanner with the right capability, they will be able to give you the correct information.
