My Toyota dealer has told me that the above part failed with replacement and and fitting will cost me £3,000. I did pursue the possibility that it may have been included in the Toyota recall on this part, but my dealer tells me it isn’t. I sent it away to ECU to test and possibly repair, but in vain; they are unable to test it. Does anyone know of a reputable breakers yard, who may deal in Toyota used parts. For those who know about such things and are interested the codes when AA rescued me were as follows: Patrol found the following fault code/s:System : ABS - 49M / ESP 9.6.2C0210 - Wheel-speed sensor rear right. Error Message : Signal not OK/incorrect.C1249 - Brake light switch. Error Message : Open circuit.brake lights working but fault code for switch would not erase. Osr wheel speed sensor working correctly on live data. Suspect blocked lockup ring. Followed to garage for further investigationEngine Oil Level Ok. Coolant Level Ok.
I had similar codes on my Gen 2 when the similar part failed the pump and the accumulator whatever they call it in this series no matter I had the same right rear wheel and all that mess going on change the pump and the actuator or the pump and the accumulator or reservoir or whatever it's called the lights went off and all the problems went away with the brakes.
