Lets talk breaking bad. Wacky new twist this season. Now Walt thinks he's a badass. I love this show but sometimes the plot lines are kinda stupid. Like how is Mike supposed to make any moves with the DEA and APD on him big time. He's already implicated with the offshore loot. That show down interrogation between Hank and Mike was some really good TV. Hank is one smart dude which leads me another stupid plot line. Someone as smart as Hank would have put Walt with Gus. Especially after the time Walt & Hank were driving to the meth lab and Walt found out where they were going and then grabbed the steering wheel and crashed into some cars to stop Hank. Hank would have put that one together. I like where they went last night with using people's house's that are getting fumigated as there cook. Kind of ingenius. That pretty much ruined the fumigation biz lol. But at the very end Walt shows his true side. A real bastard. And a egomaniac. And Jesse finally realizes it too.
Well, it's clear Walt has been trampled over all his adult life by his colleagues, his friends, his wife, etc.. and now he's got the chance to change his life by playing the badass role. Probably most mild-mannered people share the same desire to hurt those who have hurt them in the past...
I watched all 49 episodes for the first time over the last two weeks. It has been fascinating to watch how the Walt character has evolved (devolved?) since the first episode. Walt is the main reason I continue to watch the series. I really like the lawyer Saul too. Saul could really shine in a spinoff - comedy and drama akin to Get Shorty Jesse is a real pussy and I wish he would have been killed in that late night showdown with the two street dealers who rode in a Chevy Monte Carlo that Walt ran over with his Aztec. But maybe the Walt character needs the contrast that a Jesse provides.
WOW. I watched the first two seasons (#1 on dvd and #2 on amazon) to quickly catch up with season 3 and almost over dosed. I truly can't imagine 49 in 2 weeks! Yeah, there is talk about Saul getting a spin off. They need to script in a bimbo "secretary" for him again. That's a good way to keep the sleaze vibe always going. Love his suits and color coordination. I'm currently watching this season on amazon and thus paying per episode because of the AMC contract dispute with dishTV. grrrrr......
Did you catch the line by Hank's boss about Gus when they're sitting at the directors desk slamming back the whiskey? Something like, "how can you miss something right under your nose" and the next shot focuses on Hank with a somewhat clueless expression. Yeah, the fumigation angle is absolutely brilliant. I actually did a slow clap for that one.
I know I caught that too...Hank is not a stupid guy so its a stretch for the audience to think he can't figure the Walt conection out. And the Saul character is great. What a weasel. Typical lawyer. But the whole things coming apart with Skyler freaking out. And Walt cannot control it. And now since she said she'll just wait till he gets cancer again he now knows she doesn't care about him at all. And now there going to put heavy duty surveillance on Mike I can't see how he's going to make anymore moves. And Mike was right about the german lady Lydia. She put that whole tracking thing up for sure. He gave here a chance. Now he's going to kill her. I must buy Season 2 because I forgot a few things that happened. So many twists & turns. I think a Season 1 & 2 retrospective weekend is indicated. Lol. Its gonna get ugly this year!!
Concerning this week's episode as Jesse would say, "sh*t just got real, yo". The train heist was epic.
I do not know. Except for the very end, S05E05 was kinda boring. Rehash of earlier plot lines for Walt Jr and Skyler. The train theft was routine. The scene in Hank's new office was needed for later in the episode but just too long. So far, season 5 has been a big letdown. I'm losing patience.
Prepare for a wild ride. That's all I can say! If the open of the premiere episode doesn't hook you, get checked for low blood pressure.
I saw a trailer for the new season of this series. In a sentence I summarize the show as "white guy who's real desperate (laughably so) to show everyone that he's a bad nice person"
Yup, you got the gist; however, it's the main character's motivation and implications for wanting to be a "bad nice person" that's important to the whole series.
All good things must come to an end. <sigh> Lyrics from the closing music: "Guess I got what I deserved Kept you waiting there too long, my love All that time without a word Didn't know you'd think that I'd forget or I'd regret The special love I had for you, my baby blue"
I never did watch Breaking Bad, but I probably will download it in the future. I'm just glad to see a majority of people enjoying the finale. Now me on the other hand, I watched Dexter for 8 seasons... And that last series finale a week ago; TERRIBLE.
Here's what I said over a year ago: Well to eat my own words, guess what I did this summer? We watched on netflix the first 4 full seasons and 1/2 the 5th while waiting for the final 1/2 season with finale. Without the commercials, we could watch 3-4 episodes per viewing and keep up with all the plot lines much easier. It was a helluva' ride.
I downloaded and watched Homeland and Game of Thrones in about 2 weeks during the summer, lol, that was a helluva' ride as well! Yeah, BrBa will definitely be on my to watch list soon.
Toyota should run some Prius commercials with Jesse. Jesse buying a Prius with cash. Jesse explaining HSD to his posse. Jesse loading up the hatchback with equipment Jesse running a lab off of a Prius with an inverter. ...
