Bridgestone 950 TIRES installed I tried to post this a few days ago, but I think I messed up: I just had Bridgestone 950 tires installed on my stock rims. Tires are 185/65-15 (stock size). The Bridgestone National Sales manager reccomended these over the G009. Inital Impressions: RIDE- firmer at 32psi then stocks at 40 psi, especially below 65mph Stability-excellent low and 80 mph stability. NOISE- slightly more then stock, not annoying. MPG- slight drop on first tank of about 3mpg (rough estimate) I'll write a detailed review in 2 weeks after 2k miles. I measered and photographed all my old tires at 40k miles (about 0.1" of tread left).
Simple, It is a HUGE topic of debate and the main thread has lead to three different forums with over 6,000 views of just one of the forum postings. Plus it is safety related. Plus it is timely information for the the many 2004 owners with higer milage stock tires. Plus it is a tire recommneded by a major international tire maker(after about 5 phone conversations, working my way up to the national office). IF the Prius Admins don't think my postings are appropriate they are welcome to remove any or all of them. I haven't posted multiple positngs in the past and don't plan on it in the future.
If everybody used http://www.priuschat.com/forums/search.php...rch_id=newposts as their entry point to the site, one post would probably cover it. Until then, people should probably just ignore 'extra' posts...
