Many have complained of the dismal, nearly invisible rear running lights with the 5W bulb and all. Well, the other night I noticed a Prii whose rear running lights were quite bright and after seeing many with the dim lights, I got to wondering and pulled over. I got out of my '09 and looked at my lights and viola! They were quite bright. I was quite happy to see that. It appears Toyota fixed that issue in the '09 model year. It really makes the car more noticeable on the road.
