So I’m doing my first motor swap and for the most part, it has been a success. However, at some point when I was removing the motor, I yanked out what my Prius mechanic is calling a “resolver plug”. It’s an electrical plug that plugs to the bottom, driver side part of the transmission. I’m trying to rewire the plug, but struggling to find a wire mapping guide. Any photos or advice would be much appreciated!
The resolver connections to the transaxle won't depend on whether it's a Gen 3 or Gen 4 engine. The wiring diagram will answer the questions: Toyota Service Information and Where To Find It | PriusChat
Is it orange, with silvery mesh grid? Just visible through driver's side wheel well? Might be "motor cable". There's some mention in the attachment, but wiring diagram not jumping out at me.
This is a gray plug with wires that go into the transmission but you can unplug the car side and get the stuff undone and you just pulled it right out yeah and the wiring diagram I guess you will find a picture of this plug drawing type picture and I imagine the pinouts and the color code for the wires I probably have the plug undone laying here on the ground I'd have to look for it
I have some of the orange plugs too I think but usually yeah there's a few in the transmission I do believe I don't know the Gen 3 that well like that but I saved some of these pieces when I did our changeover
