I would replace that harness with a new one. I'd advise against jury-rigging it in any way. It's high-voltage, the wires are freakishly skinny with some sort of magic thin insulation, and battery fires do sometimes occur. I'd take a careful look at the ECU connector where that harness plugs in, too, while I was in there.
