My 2006 pkg 5 is due in this week and I have questions about the back-up camera and the tire pressure monitor system. BU Camera - Does the display change when ever you shift into reverse or do you have to manually change the display? Can this function be accessed manually at other times - for example, if someone is tailgating you, can you turn the camera on to read their license plate and call the police? TPMS - From reading other posts, this system does not actual display the tire pressue anywhere???? What does it do then??? What value is this???
The camera comes on automatically whenever you're in Reverse. You can't select it manually. The tyre pressure monitoring illuminates a warning light if any of your tyres drop a significant amount below the initial pressure. (You initialise it with a button under the steering wheel). It doesn't display the actual pressures.
