The button with the music note is to disable the "Vehicle Pedestrian Notification System". The one below that is the windscreen wiper deicer. (Didn't realise it was offered in other countries!) There should be heater wires/elements at the base of the windscreen where the wiper blades sit. Pressing that button will heat up those wires to deicer the blades. No idea what the hook does.
Hmm. Possibly. Actually you triggered an idea. Maybe a rolled up emergency triangle? Flare? Although that kind of stuff is usually in the boot.
