I see that there are already Ford C-Max hybrids, cars.com website, at some Ford Dealerships. The base price is about the same as the Prius with MPG's (EPA) at 47 mpg. It would be nice if one of our forum members who lives near one of those dealerships, with the C-Max in inventory, can test drive one and give us a review.
I'm more interested in the Energi. We may go looking at PIPs tomorrow. If we do I'll stop by a Ford dealer and see what they have. If the price was right I'd swap my Three for an Energi or PIP.
I think she is overwhelmed with the thought of a new car and a car payment. She wants a PIP/Five mixture. A base PIP with leather and 17" wheels and the 7.1" screen but without the Tech package. LOL She is not quite ready for a car payment yet. Especially if we decide to sell this house and move back to Davis next year. Houses are so much more expensive there.
The cheapest one showing on cars.com is offered at $24,724 -- the SE model -- and it is being sold in Midlothian, IL. Only about 60 miles from me. Don't think I'll be getting up that way anytime soon, but I DO KNOW we have a moderator quite a bit closer. BTW, the highest price is $35,980, also for an SE model, being sold in Jersey City.
I wonder if the PiP is not selling well, as I've seen a bay area dealer selling them at a significant discount.
And Toyota's offering 0% financing on the PiP at Toyota Dealerships - New & Used Car Deals & Special Offers | BuyAToyota.com (I put in the 95136 zip).
