They had a Washington Post reporter, Lyndsey Layton, who was there to discuss the larger, Department of Transportation (DoT) appointment. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is a major department under the DoT. Bigger issues include an $8 B. shortfall in the highway fund that Congress allocated in September. I sent an e-mail to C-SPAN Journal but I didn't expect to see and sure enough, it was not presented. FYI, the NHTSA administrator changed Sept. 2, suggesting the current political appointees are leaving while the leaving is good. Bob Wilson
