CA Alert! No HOV Access on Expressways

    Be aware, Californian owners!
    Based on today's SanJoseMercury Mr-RoadShow column, due to legistration oversight, HOV stickers do not give us, hybrids owners, the permission to ride on HOV lanes of county-level expressways. This includes Montague, Central, Capitol, etc. It also mentioned that the police will enforce this issue. It said that legistration will address this issue in 2007 to correct the oversight. However, we all know that the sticker program is to be terminated on Dec. 31, 2007 unless it will be extended....

    My daily commute includes 680, 880 and Montague. Now Montague is out of the time-saving equation. Sad. :(
