Just has the 20k miles service last week. I notice the replaced cabin filter is a piece of junk, it is so filmy (the sheet) and has only about half the petitions compare to the original filter. The original filter has a layer of "carbon" (or whatever that is), this new one none.
I hear you. I replaced mine. Genuine Toyota cabin filter and it is nothing like the original. I guess they had a mid stream engineering laps. The new replacement is a disappointment. I wonder what an after market cabin filter would look like? (( and they don't give them away $$$$ ))) Advance Auto or Auto Zone here I come.
I like the Fram Freshbreeze filter from Walmart. It is preloaded with baking soda and activated charcoal. Reasonably priced too. SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 ? 2
The YZZ08 ones are quite junky. The original filter, minus the carbon, is this one: Lexus Parts World - Lexus Floor Mats and Accessories If you want the original filter w/carbon, Wix makes one that looks almost identical is available for $10-$15; I believe the part # is 24511: Amazon.com: Wix 24511 Cabin Air Filter for select Lexus/Toyota models, Pack of 1: Automotive
