FYI, the stickers are tied to the VIN for the vehicle that they were originally issued for. Totally illegal to sell, totally illegal to use since the original vehicle was totalled.
Did anyone figure out if there's an easy way (like via web site) to report this? Given California's budget problems, I unfortunately doubt they'd bother to pursue this.
You can report it to Ebay, since it is in violation of the rules (illegal auction) and they would take it down. I did that once many years ago for an obvious scam auction. I think enforcement falls to the CHP (Calif Highway Patrol); I don't know how aggressive they are in investigating bogus stickers.
