California Warranty Correct??

    Yea, CA and several other states (NY and MA and someone else) require more stringent pollution standards, and seem to require manufacturers to maintain cars to be within those standards for like 10 whole years of 'normal' driving...

    What if you purchase it in California but reside in another state?

    you must comply with the standards of your state of residence.

    so in NY you get a 10year 150k mile emissions warrentee, which covers almost every hybrid part.

    but if you like in a non-CARB state you get the standard emissions warrentee
