Can 2011 hybrid battery damage from not driving? Car has 5000 miles.

    I want to buy a 2011 Prius with less than 5000 miles. Can the hybrid battery get damaged if the car is not driven? Seller want $12,000 for it. Is there a test to make sure it is fine?

    i'm not sure anyone can answer positively. unfortunately, no test can tell you if the battery is going to be good for it's average lifespan, only that it is good today.
    that being said, you have an 8/100 or 10/150 warranty, depending on where you live.
