Can anyone recommend a 2 in hitch receiver?

    The only ones I am seeing are the 1 or 1.25" receiver on amazon.com ?

    You can get an adapter to make those a 2" receiver, but you are still constrained by the limitations of the vehicle.

    Right I know that ..I want to avoid the whole adaptor thing....so you are saying Prius can only have 1 or 1.25" receiver hitches because of Prius size limitations?

    No, didnt say any such thing. I have seen a 2" receiver hitch for a prius, just dont remember where. If the 2012 is the same as 2010, you might try searching 2010 instead. Good luck!

    The Torklift Ecohitch is the only 2" I'm aware of.

    and these are all costing over $450 on amazon :-( I did not even check compatibility after seeing the price..
