So I'm a first time Prius owner and my sister in law gave me her old rhino rack (off her 09). I'm worried about screwing my car up... is there a specific reason it wouldn't fit correctly or is it more a marketing strategy? Thanks!!
Welcome! The roof on the 09 is different than your 12. I don't know what model rack you have but you should be able to just buy a new foot kit, the rubber part that sits on the roof and you shouldn't have an issue. Unless your kit is supposed to be mounted into the rain gutter, then you've got a different issue.
