I have both the 2020 Prius Prime and 2020 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. There are two displays I like in the Chrysler that I cannot find in the Prius. The Chrysler shows how many miles are left on electric until it switches to hybrid mode and, when I shut down, it says how long It will take to be fully charged again. How can I change Prius displays to get this information from the Prius? Thank you.
There are 3 ways to show EV distance remaining: If you have the HUD, you can display the EV range remaining on the HUD (there are two modes of HUD... you keep pressing the HUD button to cycle through from OFF --> Speedo (and DRCC if active) --> Speedo + Hybrid System Indicator + EV Driving Range). Alternatively, if you want to switch the "%" to "Distance Remaining" on the MID, you go into Settings --> Meter Customize --> HV System Indicator --> EV Drive Monitor. Change it from "EV Energy" to "EV Distance" Lastly, you can also show your EV remaining range on the main MID below the speedo. Press the TRIP button on the steering wheel to cycle through the different displays. (See table below)
Welcome. @Tideland Prius had the complete answer, which is in the owner's manual along with a LOT of other stuff that will improve your driving experience. This is one car where the owner's manual is well worth the time to at least skim it. Anyway, I much prefer to have the percentage showing on the MID and if I want to look at the charge in estimated remaining miles, just use the Trip button on the steering wheel to cycle through to that number as in the last part of Tideland's post. Best of both worlds.
Welcom to PC. If I may just add to already answered question. The EV range remaining is often called Guess-O-Meter in this forum and it is basically an estimate of remaining EV range based on your past driving and your HVAC settings plus maybe current temperature. It is not an accurate distance you can drive in EV mode and it changes as you drive. Enjoy your drive.
