Hi All, I have a teen, who is just starting to drive. She has done one lesson in a parking lot, and didn't go very long. I though it would be easier / safer if we could keep the car in EV mode. I have tried pushing the EV button on the console, but if you step on the gas, it just drops out of EV mode. I know when we took the demo at the car show they managed to keep it in electric only. Is that possible?
If there's an ECO mode, use that. The acceleration will be much slower than on regular mode. The EV mode usually doesn't exceed 25mph and you can't really push the pedal too hard.
