Hi! My Prius V waterpump part number is 161A039015. Prius 2018 part number is 161A039035. My waterpump right now is fine. I just want to buy spare waterpump keeping it under trunk at the spare tire place just in case. I have all the tools I need for repairing the car in the same place. The reason I want to buy prius 2018 waterpump is beacause it is cheap (145€), it is from Aisin Toyota looked clean secondhand I found on very trusted internet website. Visually it is different compare to 2014 prius V but all the bolt places and wire connection looks same to me. What do you think? Thanks beforehand. PS. All the others secondhand waterpump I found from Prius (2009-2015) and Prius+/Prius V are either too old for me or too expensive.
Maybe see how much this is for you: Buy AISIN WPT190 Pump, Water. Prices, fast shipping, photos, weight - Amayama For me (west coast Canada) it’s roughly $215 CDN in total. I’ve bought from them several times, a little slow but very reliable, and never any extra charges, other than the indicated price+shipping.
Wow, this is cheap for me also. Im pretty sure im going to buy it from Amayama. Do you know many coolant waterpump there is in Prius V? From my knowledge there is 2. One is for ICE and another is Nice, this is cheap for me also. Do you know how many coolant waterpump is in Prius V? Is there waterpump for ICE and another one is inverter waterpump? Is it any critical for head gasket if the inverter waterpump fail?
The inverter water pump may be different. I'd speculate it's failure would only matter for inverter. There's also now just the impeller portion of the (engine) water pump for sale, only about $20~30 USD, on E-Bay and I'm not sure where else. This is the part that's apparently failing. Still not sure about that, or if the impellers for sale are safe to use. I believe a few here have reported doing that, just replacing the impeller. One example, from AliExpress.
