I'm about to change my oil, only thing I don't have is the drain plug gasket. Although I do have a bag of 50 gaskets from my old car. They are size M12, and I was wondering if they'd be okay to use in a 2015 Prius. I can't post links, but this is the name of them on Amazon: 50 PCS Metal/Rubber Drain Plug Gasket, Fits 1/2, M12, M12 So Replace 097-021,65274,365274,GM 14079550,14090908,1625762,1631748,24571185,25524544,5741252,8-14090-908-0 (24.7x11.5mm)
I can't remember our drain plug takes a 14 mm wrench so it's probably around a 12 mm that may well be fine what you do is you put that around your drain plug while you have it off and you're sitting up and you can look at it does the flange on the drain plug grab the rubber portion of the dual material washer? This is important If it does then you should be golden Make sure your other one is actually off of your oil pan usually I have one on there for six or seven years it just stays there it doesn't come off when I change the oil it stays glued to the pan I drain the oil let it drip for about 5-10 minutes while I'm doing something else then I put the drain plug right back in My finger automatically feels for the washer that has never come off in 5 or 6 years I have a bag of similar I rarely replaced them well you'll never comes out of these things.
