Can Prius 2007 Smart Key be Repaired?

    I have a 2007 Prius with the Smart Key system that opens all doors and trunk. I have two keys but the key I've used most of the time (its pretty beat up) is not working anymore--replaced the battery (tried two of them) and still not working. Is there something I can do to fix this key or is it shot?
